General Show Conditions & Information

Arrival and Check-In: After 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27. Exhibitors desiring to arrive before that time must clear their arrival with show management and will incur an additional stall charge.

Departures: No later than 7:00 AM Monday, June 2. Any time after that, you must coordinate with the Show Manager and additional charges may be incurred.

Office Hours:
Tuesday, May 27 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
May 28 – June 1 –  7:00 AM until at least 30 minutes after the last class completes

Office Charge: There is a $40 office charge per horse. Exhibitors submitting horse and rider information on or after May 23 will be charged an additional $25.

Stall Fees:  $225 for the entire show (includes 4 bags of shavings) or $50 per night does not include shavings.

Bedding: Available for purchase on the grounds through the Show Office. Additional Shavings are $12/bag. No offsite shavings allowed.

NRHA Fee: $10 per horse.

AQHA Fee: $10 per horse (AQHA entries only).

Video Fee: $20 per run.

RMQHA Fee: $5 per horse. (AQHA entries only).

RV Hookups: Hookups are available for $60/night full hookup or $40/night electric only (limited availability).

Early arrivals are not accepted, extended stays must be coordinated with the Show Secretary.

The RMRHA Columbine Classic will adhere to NRHA rules with the following additions:

  • Draws close at 5:00 pm for the next full day’s classes. Entries are accepted after the draw deadline of 5:00 PM, but exhibitor will blind-select top or bottom of draw order. Online entries close Thursday, May 22, 10:00 PM MDT. Stall/Shaving/RV Reservations close at 10:00PM Sunday, May 18. Club Zero Pre-entries are required for Tuesday’s class; draws posted by 8am 5/27

  • NO phone entries will be accepted.

  • Accepted forms of payment: Checks (made payable to RMRHA), or cash, or Credit Cards (+4.5%). One form of payment on file with the show office before back numbers are distributed. ($50 returned check fee)

  • Premium checks will be issued to the horse owner by default unless otherwise requested. Social Security number or tax I.D. required issuance of premium checks. Checks are mailed after the show completes and an audit of results can occur.

  • Entries cannot be accepted without proof of current competition license and NRHA membership. (AQHA registration papers needed for AQHA classes)

  • Green Horse Open & NP: Classes limited horses with less than $250 LTE as of January 1, 2025. One or two handed, any legal bit or hackamore.

  • **Club Zero: Paid warm-up non-judged “class”. May be ridden one handed or two handed in any NRHA legal bit or NRHA legal snale or hackamore. No training equipment allowed in the arena. Entries may be limited. If show runs too long, these may be canceled at discretion of show management. %Pre-entries required for Club Zero classes on Tuesday%

  • Release of Liability: All participants are fully aware, completely understand and accept that participation in the Columbine Classic (the“Event”) whether as a contestant, employee, volunteer, exhibitor, sponsor, or spectator is dangerous and that the events and activities associated with, relating to, arising out of and concerning this participation present substantial, serious and real risks of personal injury or death to the undersigned participant and the loss of, damage to, or destruction of the undersigned participant’s personal property. Under Colorado Law, an equine professional including RMRHA, is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 13-21-119 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. All participants by entering this event fully and completely assume these substantial, serious and real risks whether or not apparent, known, unknown, foreseen, unforeseen, present or contingent, and the design or designing, staging, supervising, maintaining or in any way presenting, conducting or sponsoring the Event. By entering this Event, all participants agree to waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless RMRHA, it’s agents and employees from all claims, damages, losses, injuries and expenses arising out of or resulting from participation in the Event. All participants further agree to release, acquit and covenant not to sue RMRHA, it’s agents and employees for all actions, causes of actions, damages or damages in law or remedies in equity of whatever kind.
